Lenox Avenue & 6th Street

This project was composed of the complete re-construction of 6th Street from Lenox Avenue to Alton Road and Lenox Avenue from 5th Street to 6th Street.

SSA was responsible for the design, permitting and construction administration for all the infrastructure improvements for the development of the subject site. The duties encompassed the design of a new drainage system that connected to an existing 3’x5’ box culvert which ran along 6th Street. Coordination with all existing conditions of neighboring properties to maintain all functionality was also required.

The challenges of this project included utility coordination and dealing with unforeseen conditions due to inaccurate as-built information.
