Miami-Dade College – Hialeah Campus

SSA was one of the two civil consultants brought on board for this project due to the large scope of work. Despite certain existing features of this site being left to remain, the entire site’s infrastructure had to be reconstructed in order to provide adequate fire protection, sewer capacity, and flood protection. Also, the campus remained fully-functional during construction, creating the need to implement temporary bypass water and sewer systems to maintain the school in operation during the demolition and construction phases of this project. Coordination between all of the disciplines and school officials became a focal point and highlight throughout both the design and construction phases of this project.
