This project is composed of a 9-story multi-use senior assisted and independent living facility and ground floor retail facilities with a detached 8-story parking garage.

SSA was the civil engineer responsible for the design, permitting, and construction administration for all the infrastructure improvements for the development of the subject site.  Our duties encompass the redevelopment of Andalusia Avenue between Galiano Street and Douglas Road, the provision of public utilities (water and sewer) and the disposal of stormwater via drainage wells and French drains.  Water utilities consisted of a 12-inch water main extension between Galiano Street and Douglas Road in order to provide fire protection and domestic services for both the residential building and parking garage.  To prevent substantial damage to the existing clay sanitary sewer system, two new manholes were installed in order to connect new sewer laterals from the residential building.
